FAWAZ IBRAHIM
"Graphics Designer & Creative Director"
Wizkid, Mr. Eazi, Stonebwoy and Sarkodie are just a few of the megastars Fawaz has worked with. The Ghanaian superstar has already achieved a lot of success but he swears he has only just begun. Fawaz is an outgoing and very vibrant person. He is very goal driven, approachable but detests bad energy. This is because it affects his creative process.
He is responsible for the designing of the album cover for Wizkid's already deemed classic album, Made in Lagos.
VIBE Founder and CEO, Chukwuka Nwokobia, sat down with this creative prodigy to learn from him, find out exactly how he does what he does and has been able to achieve all this incredible success. Below are his answers to questions that were asked and we know for sure this creative genius is definitely going to leave his stamp in the creative industry.
#1
Why did you choose the career path of a Creative Director?
Growing up, I had always had the talent and was blessed. I thank God for giving me the gift. I honestly just went with the flow and made everything work. I decided to go with my God given talent and do the best with the cards I was dealt.
#2
Did you encounter any challenges early in your career?
I did not really face any challenges. I was very focused on how to get to the top right from the jump. So, when I started, things were very easy for me. It was more God's guidance and grace that opened the doors because everything went according to God's plan. For instance, my first project was with Sarkodie.
#3
What advice do you have for a young creative?
My advice would be to follow your dreams. They should never limit themselves and no dream is ever too big!
#4
What is your creative process, describe your creative style?
I work with energy. It really depends on the energy at the given moment. You can tell me to design a flyer for you and after I do it, I cannot do it again. When I am in my element, I just go with the flow.
#5
What should we expect from Fawaz Concept in the near future?
There are a lot of things coming. I have some lowkey projects I cannot disclose at the moment. Trust me, in a few weeks you will see them. People should just stay glued to my platforms and pages.
#6
As a black creative in the industry, what has your experience been like?
It was actually not good at first but people are beginning to appreciate black creatives a lot more.
#7
What can you say is the highlight of your successful career so far?
It is definitely designing Wizkid's Made in Lagos Album Cover. I have worked with Wizkid numerous times in the past but designing that cover is definitely my highlight. I think it is because of how special that album was. It is definitely a classic album.

What do you think of VIBE as a platform?
I hope you guys prosper and have proper focus. It is a great platform and it will help a lot of black creatives. However, if I could give advice to you guys, it would be to remain focused and have faith. Lastly, remain grounded even when things do not look good.
