Black is Beautiful Part II

Black is Beautiful Part II

"Beauty is how you feel inside, and it reflects in your eyes. It is not something physical."

The woman being racist agreed to let me take her family’s pictures. I told them that all our background sheets are dirty at the moment and only the black one would look good with the camera. Of course, that was a lie but it was nice to get her to take pictures on a black background considering dislike for black, so that for me was a plus.

We spent thirty minutes taking ‘awesome pictures', I positioned them in a lot of good poses. Her reaction showed she almost forgot her disdain for me. I felt as though I successfully proved that I was very good at my job and was definitely qualified to be doing this. Although I was pleased the session continued smoothly, it was too late, the damage had already been done.

I had so much fun that every time I took a picture, I giggled. I took another twenty minutes editing all fifty pictures that were taken. I am sure everyone reading this is quite confused and some are even questioning why I was so nice to her and her family. Some of you would have chosen a petty route. How does one use thirty minutes of their time to take pictures and an additional twenty minutes to edit the pictures for a racist family? Why try to impress people like these?

I spent about fifty minutes working for this family and after the editing was done, it was time to see the pictures. Below is an example of an edited picture they had:

Black is Beautiful

Yes people, during those thirty minutes and several poses, my pictures were that. Every time I took a picture, I zoomed in on a part of the black background. The twenty minutes I took to edit was to write "Black is Beautiful" on all fifty pictures. I could have copied and pasted but I needed the satisfaction of having them wait to see their "awesome pictures" and the beautiful work I had done.

After the editing I called an Uber, told Rodrigue I had to leave early because of a family emergency and asked if he could do the sale for me. Well, let's just say he called my phone nonstop but I had no intention of answering. #HearNoEvilSeeNoEvil

Honestly, I wasn't sure if I had been fired or not, but I definitely planned on showing up to  work the next day. I came up with a lame excuse like my phone died because the pictures clearly (said 1000 words/ spoke for themselves).

I would like to know your thoughts in the comment section. Do you think I could have handled this situation better? I do not mind taking corrections. In any case, I still have my job. Let me know what you think.

Cheers!
